Warsaw, IN- Teacher’s Credit Union's Dash for Cash was held in the Tiger Den on January 20th at the Warsaw High School boys’ basketball home game against Concord.
Prior to the halftime event, WCS administrators April Fitterling and Dr. David Hoffert, gathered with WCS board members Elle Turley, Brad Johnson and Matt Deuel to recognize TCU branch manager, Karen Mayer, and TCU staff for the ongoing support.
Three ticket winners were announced during halftime. All three winners were WCS elementary students. 3rd grader, Aaron Jones, pulled the $10 envelope and kindergartener, Logan Moore, pulled the $20 bill. The golden ticket and grand prize of participating in TCU's $1,000 Dash for Cash was claimed by 4th grader, Waldo Nelson.
The crowd cheered for Waldo as he dashed across the gym floor to gather the scattered bills and stuff them in his shirt and pockets. Within the 30 second time limit, he gathered $227.
Warsaw Community Schools and Teachers Credit Union would like to thank all who participated in Friday night's event.
